How dose hydra feel about spandex/Under armor and their place in belegarth?

Underarmor and nothing to cover it == tacky
Underarmor with a decent amount of stuff covering it or garb that took some effort to make at least == OK!

As long as it blends in I think it's fine. And if it appropriately fits someone. A muscularly built person would look much better in form fitting UA and a tabard on top of that then I would.

It should be a gap filler for garb. Nothing else.

Unless it is being used head-to-toe to turn your whole being blue. Then, it is not only appropriate, it is awesome.

Funny, but I never want to think about that again.

Is this just asking about spandex underarmor or spandex in general for garbish stuff? Cause I have a shirt that I've worn but I usually do wear something over it. My "thermal" shirt is actually not fitted like it should be but I got a super awesome deal on (like 70% off) so went with it. Gone with tabard over it so far.
Otherwise, totally agree with Brooder's first post.

matching ua with tabbard or preferably tunic= awesome ua as a shirt=douche and not hydra at all
now these are of course for event levle garb, at practice you should be striving for a good look, but i have fought without garb many times.

I personally would prefer that Underarmor not be visible at all and be hidden by, at the very least, a tunic. Even a short sleeve tunic over long sleeve Underarmor shirt is better than a tabard that still exposes the sides of the Underamor. And blacking out the logo still doesn't completely hide the fact that it's an Underarmor shirt with a modern logo. I find that it's very jarring to my "medieval/fantasy" expectations. But that's just me.

I really like the look of under armor underneath a tunic when the colors match or compliment each other. I really dislike just about anything else.
Under armor on its own is not garb in my mind.

So....spandex is the under armor then?
I really do need to start stepping up garb shirts. Been trying to figure out an idea for some long sleeved/cold time of wear ones. Got some ideas for warmer weather stuff and have some more garbish looking shirts for that already. (Big goal this year is to get actual garb). I want to look...belegarthy (?) but still be comfortable (warm if it's cold, cool if it's hot) at the same time. Kind of lost where I was going with that, but any tips for things to do or not to do would be cool. LOL.

With previous post...is spandex type stuff cool as long as there's something perhaps over it? Taking shirts again here. Sorry people, but no seeing Wren in spandex shorts.

It should be a gap filler for garb. Nothing else. Seconded. If you need it to stay warm, go for it. If you wear a tabard and under armor only, common man...

If you have stuff over it then you're all fine so long as it's not a main part of your garb. It sounds like what you want to do is completely fine.
