So one of the guys in the Fort France Realm asked what he would need to make a 65 inches in length Katana. Another realm ember told him PVC would flex too much and if it did not it would be super heavy. So with that being said, what kind of core would you use and how would you shape it into the right curve for a katana?

Best thing to do would be to use a reliable core (11/16" would likely work well) and shape the foam. Trying to curve that long of a core will just lead to it breaking down really prematurely.

Woah, slow down there.
If you just shape the foam around a straight core you're going to make a pretty dangerous weapon, the tip is going to tear through a lot easier. I wouldn't suggest that.
Unfortunately, I don't know how best to go about it.

When this gets all figured out, I'd love to see the finished product.

Tell him that once it's 5 feet long, it's no longer a katana.

Katanas are the coolest weapons in existence. Is this guy cool? You should make sure. Only cool dudes should be able to wield the katena. does he wear long trench coats? does he listen exclusively to power metal? is he quick like ninja and able to run between the rain drops? does he use axe body spray? these are important questions.

THe best way to make a katana is to use a curved core. The easiest way (not the best) to get that is to use a curved PVC core, and there's a buncha ways to do that. I made one for a friend a few years ago with a box construction and a curved PVC core.
But a more important thing to note is that katanas (and most curved weapons) don't really work with our game. due to it's curve, which is it's most distinguishing feature, it doesn't move the way we do in bel/dag.
tl;dr: don't make katanas; they don't work.

We had a dude in our realm that was making curved swords for awhile. They seemed to work well for him (though he had a pretty huge arsenal of weapons so I don't know how frequently they got used) he is now MIA. Also, not sure if you could consider them "Katanas"

I has come to my attention that the person asking me is under 16, therefore per the realm rules (which they modeled off our rules) he cant use a red any way. Thanks anyway guys!
