Please accept my nervous and shy greeting! I moved to Madison from the east coast almost a year ago, and somehow it's taken me this long to find out about you wonderful people. I'm hoping to start attending Thursday practices pretty soon, as soon as I can finagle my work schedule. I'm...not sure what else to say here, except that I used to play amtgard in MD, so I know a bit about what's up. And I'm super excited to make friends!

Ah...well, I'm spending my time being in my mid 20's, slaving away at Captel. I have a bachelor's degree in medieval literature from a tiny college in Maryland you've never heard of. I'm trying to spend my spare time preparing to get a webcomic on the internet, collaborating with my fiance (he mostly writes and I mostly do the art). I'm incredibly shy and awkward at introductions, as you can probably tell, but I warm up fast and I promise to be fun in the future, lol. Oh, I'm a giiiiiiiiiiiiirl, I say as I've noticed that it isn't obvious yet.

Oh, I forgot to mention that unfortunately getting a schedule change at Captel takes a long time, so I won't be able to join you until the end of March. Which sucks, but I've waited this long to meet new people, so I can wait another month.

Hail and well met. I look forward to having you join us. I know a good chunk of people who work at Captel - seems like half of Madison works there. Anyway, it's all good -- just let us know which day you think you'll be able to make it and we'll make sure to have some loaner gear for you. Also, we do have a Facebook group which should be publicly visible. www.facebook.com/groups/316984691690860/Request an invite and somebody will get you in. People tend to communicate there at least as often as on here, if not more frequently so that would be the best place to check on things first. Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers!
