After doing a cursory web search for rules of the various tactical games we play at practice and finding little out there, I thought it would be a good idea if we worked together to make descriptions and rules. This is also a good place to propose new games for practice. If we do a thread for each game, we can work out these descriptions and I will then post them to www.clanofthehydra.com for others to find and peruse. I started a few threads, but didn't start any descriptions.

So, this could kind of eliminate most of the need for this whole forum, but here's another option: someone just created a "Scenario battles" category on the belegarth wiki, found here. It's nearly empty right now, but that can be fixed easily enough. To create a new article (or battle type, in this case), type in the name in the search box on the left and hit "go". If it doesn't exist yet, there will be a red link near the top saying "this exact text". Click it, and you'll be editing your new article. To add your article to the Scenario battles category, put "[[Category:Scenario battles]]" at the top of the page (without the quotes). When you're first creating an article, or any time you're making a major change, you might want to flag the article as "in use" so other people don't try to edit it at the same time - just add "{{Template:Inuse}}" (again, no quotes) wherever you're making your changes and save the page - that will put up a warning for others to see. Then edit the page again, make your changes, and remove the template when you're done. Finally, if you want to note a battle type which should be listed but don't have enough time or information to write or finish the article, that's okay! Create it, and add "{{Template:Battle Stub}}" to the article. That will flag it for finishing later. You can also put it in "[[Category:Scenario battles]]" to make it a little more visible. Anyway, give it a shot, it's fun, easy, and accessible to everyone in the sport. And addictive. Oh, damn, I wasn't going to say that... .
