I recently took up leatherworking. I've been working on a number of peices for okfest-only one picture so far but I was wondering what you folks thought of em:

The grieves are made from water hardened select saddle skirting, #9 copper rivets. I made the purity seal out of scraps and attached the plates to a set of boot toppers I had lying around.

Thanks Peregrine, I'm (obviously) not very forum savvy.

Those look pretty sharp but what are the boot toppers made of? I'm concerned that if the toppers aren't made of as durable material as the leather, they're going to wear out or tear before the leather does.

Kyrian- The toppers are from bythesword.com (link below). they're made from suede (about the thickness of a jacket or something) with a backing and some padding. The suede along the outer seams is doubled up and are overlapped with a ~2" wide strip of vinyl-like leather stuff (technical, I know).
They've been to a couple practices with and without the greaves and seem to be holding up fine. They also fit MUCH better with the added support of the greaves.

I should have a couple more pictures up here shortly

You might run into a problem over time though with extended use too.
But, those things look damn fine. I like the design tooled into them. The purity seal is nicely done as well.

Here are a couple pictures of my armor in its current state, taken by my folks when they came to visit a practice:
