thats right it is official.
if you don't have garb yopu cannot call light or garb. passing garb is cheap, and easy, just ask for help.
we even have some loaner garb on the truck i forgot about. you shoudl have your own but it will give you some ideas.

I like it. Stickied for the time being. I was considering opening up a garb centric area of the forum. Yes, no?

I understand the idea of not being able to call "garb" when you have none- but without rocking the boat, what's the thought process behind no "light"? I sort of consider them separate, but I'm just asking because we tend to get a lot of brand-new-off-the-street fighters who hit like feathers.

It's not about new fighters *hitting* light but rather sluffing everything when they should be following our little creedo of "hit hard, take light." It's also largely about getting people consistently in garb. A few veterans could tell you that when they show up in street clothes... it really sucks and they don't forget garb next time.

yep i hate not being able to sluff off 10 shots at practice before someone gets mad and clubs the shit ot of me. Kidding, i try to take hits inspite of who is delivering them even though i am a knight and don't have to take anyhting. Ha

Ego armor is amazing.
OK, I see the "Hit hard, take light" idea. That's a pretty good ideal for a realm to adopt.
Thanks.

The only problem I have with hit hard take light, is the theory that over time it lowers the overall standard for a "good hit." Next thing you know in 10 years if we saw us we'd think we're playing Amptgard.
